Christmas with teens just hits differently.

The traditions have changed because Santa is out of the picture.

Their gift lists include items that make your Visa card cry.

And yes, the hardest part is getting your teen to get out of bed.

So, we have to keep a sense of humor when it comes to parenting big kids during the holidays, so we’ve put together fifteen of the funniest tweets from parents about #christmaswithteens.

.

What is the appropriate time to wake up your teen after years of early wake ups?

I remember the Christmas my boys woke me up at 3:30am because they were so excited.
Now, it's 8:00am and I'm wondering if it's too early to wake them. #Christmaswithteens#Christmas

Get a dog so someone will be excited about Christmas…

Why are their Christmas lists so expensive? Can’t I just get them a Hotwheels car?

My daughter thinks them being called joggers instead of sweatpants makes them worth $87.

The gift that keeps on giving….

Maybe if I vacuum just outside their door for a few minutes…..

You know, teenagers, eventually your parents will wake you up today. #ChristmasWithTeens

Watching them with their siblings is such a gift…

Said the son to the daughter:"If you wake me up early I will return your gift." Guess I get to sleep in tomorrow. #christmaswithteens

We’ll take the “Thanks, Bruh.”

I really miss the days when an action figure made them squeal. #ChristmasWithTeens

Meanwhile, back in the 1900s…

When I was your age we used to have to sleep on the sidewalk outside of Best Buy on Thanksgiving night just to fight a grandma at 5 AM to save $30 on a Nintendo Wii.

I mean, you might as well take advantage of it!

And trying to keep them off your Amazon account….

I mean, they’ve got to earn their keep, right?

One of the best things about Christmas with teens is that they assemble things for their parents. Merry Christmas from Canada, y'all! <3

Always see the positive….

The bonus of Christmas with teens is I don't have to build Legos and I don't have to break 4 fingers trying to open any toys.

Dear teens: you were warned!

Still sleeping kids have ten minutes before I jump up and down on their beds yelling *IT'S CHRISTMAS*…#Christmaswithteenagers

— Linda Taylor (@LindaKings) December 25, 2017

Oh no, you didn’t!

12-year-old: *wrapping cookies for a school bake sale*

Me: Can I have one?

12: Sure. If you pay me.

Just text me when you get up…..

Might have just tried to FaceTime the kids to get them to wake up. #ChristmasWithTeenagers #fb

Seriously……

“According to my kids’ Christmas lists, they think this parenting gig pays pretty well.”

Not even the mouse they use to play video games……

9:15 & not a creature was stirring #ChristmasWithTeenagers

Maybe this is what the sign should have said in Love, Actually.

I mean, not the worst idea…..

When in doubt, buy the phone charger.

And we’ll leave you with this:
