Our teen sons go through a lot of changes during adolescence, and it can be tough when they stop giving you hugs, answer in grunts, or retreat to their room to play video games with their friends. We need to help our young boys grow up into men who are willing to communicate, show their emotions, and respect themselves and others.
Raising a tween or teen boy is no easy task. Boys undergo a slew of hormonal, emotional, and physical changes during adolescence, and it can be tough when that sweet little boy that used to bring you dandelions from the backyard starts withdrawing from you.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t need us, it’s just that they need us in different ways. If you want to pursue a healthy and good relationship with your teenage son, try to find that balance between their independence and your guidance.
